Spread over two floors and originally built in 1997, this 134m² Amsterdam apartment was ready for a fresh start. Having already collaborated with the client on a previous home, we knew exactly how to bring their contemporary classic style to life again. The redesign introduced a warm, neutral palette and timeless detailing throughout — high plinths, real oak flooring, and a handcrafted oak staircase add natural warmth and continuity between the levels. Classic finishes such as brass door handles and rectified-edge tiles in the bathroom and kitchen give a refined, understated character. A reimagined layout created better flow and functionality, adding an extra office/guest bedroom alongside a completely new kitchen, bathroom, and fireplace — all designed to feel calm, cohesive, and beautifully balanced.
